For 7-year-old Harry Parker, playing soccer had only ever been a dream—until now. Born with a rare form of cerebral palsy, Harry had been unable to walk as his parents could not afford the expensive spinal cord surgery to correct his disability. After meeting Harry at a soccer match, Essex soccer team owner Glenn Tamplin was so touched by his story that he wanted to make Harry’s dream a reality. The family launched a campaign to raise money for Harry’s surgery, but it was thanks to Glenn’s large donation that Harry took his first steps last week. Now undergoing intense physical therapy, Harry and his family appeared on Britain’s ITV This Morning with Glenn to display the miracle of the corrective surgery.
