Attorney Lisa Weinstein Discusses the Characteristics of a Birth Injury

Attorney Lisa Weinstein Discusses the Characteristics of a Birth Injury

I am often asked, “How do I know if my child suffered from a birth-related injury?”  There are certain characteristics we look for when determining whether your child suffered a birth injury:

  • Was your baby crying when he/she was born?
  • Did he/she have to be resuscitated after birth?
  • Did your child have caput, molding, cephalohematoma and/or overriding sutures?  These are all signs of a traumatic delivery.
  • Was your child admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)?
  • Did your baby have head or body cooling?
  • Did your child suffer from seizures?
  • Was a CT scan, MRI or ultrasound performed sometime after birth?

If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, please call us today so that we can speak with you about your potential claim. Don’t delay; call 877-262-9767.
