What Is the Birth Injury Statute of Limitations in Georgia?

Under Georgia law, parents have two years from the date they knew or should have known about the injury, and no more than five years to file a medical malpractice claim. This time limit may extend up to seven years in the case of minor plaintiffs. In cases of infant wrongful death, you have two years from the date of death to file a claim.
