Brothers Brent and Kyle Pease completed their first Ironman triathlon in 2013, covering 140.6 miles in 15 hours. By October 2018, the brothers completed their fourth Ironman race. “Kyle uses my legs and I use his spirit,” Brent said. Kyle lives with cerebral palsy and is not able to use his arms or legs. In the swimming segment of the triathlon, Brent pulls Kyle in a boat. While biking, he pedals a specially designed bicycle, and for the run, Brent pushes his brother in his wheelchair. “I knew in my heart that I wanted to become an athlete and to become an athlete with my brother, is so much sweeter,” Kyle said.
