Save the Date! People around the world are preparing for World Cerebral Palsy Day on October 5, 2016. More than 50 countries will celebrate the day, bringing awareness and support to those with cerebral palsy (CP). CP is a condition caused by brain damage, typically occurring at birth that permanently impairs the body’s ability to control movement and posture. Coordinated by the World Cerebral Palsy Initiative, a group of non-profit CP organizations, World Cerebral Palsy Day aims to ensure that people with CP have the same rights, access, and opportunities to live their lives to the fullest. Use the hashtag #worldcpday to join the conversation and stay informed about news and upcoming events in your area.
