According to a study in Denmark, climbing helps children with cerebral palsy to function better because the sport activates both physical and mental skills. After training subjects on an indoor rock wall, researchers noted that children with CP had improved motor abilities. This progress reflects increased synchronization between the cortex and muscles, which scientists believe may transfer to an improvement in the ability to perform daily activities.
