The adoptive parents of two-year-old Charlie Salchert were gifted an accessibility ramp for their van to assist their son living with neurological impairments due to hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy. The donation from Make-a-Wish Wisconsin will allow Charlie to travel to weekly hospital visits with more ease and offer accessibility to enjoy family outings. Charlie is one of several children with a life-limiting diagnosis that the Salcherts have cared for over the years, adopting Charlie after he came into their lives in 2014.
