Father and son athletes Jeff and Johnny Agar have run several races together, but are now training for the biggest race they will likely ever take on as a team. Johnny, who has cerebral palsy, is one of five disabled athletes who won a spot to compete in the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii this October. His father Jeff will be pulling him in a boat during the swim, and towing him in a chariot during the biking and running portion of the race. Johnny plans to walk alongside his father for the last mile of the race to the finish line. “A mile for me is really difficult to achieve,” said Johnny. “The reason why I wanted to walk was because I really appreciate everything my dad does for me.”
