According to the Huffington Post, there are over half a million children in North America with walking disabilities. Physiotherapy is extremely important for these children, however many families are unable to afford the expense and time commitment associated with therapy appointments. Trexo Robotics is working to change that by making affordable, wearable robotic devices designed specifically for kids who struggle to walk. The design requires little power and less space than traditional devices, making it easier to store and use. The Toronto-based startup currently focuses on children, but aspires to create accessible solutions for people of all ages and abilities.
