Many people living with cerebral palsy struggle with feeding themselves independently. A new piece of technology, a robotic arm called “Obi,” has been dubbed the “robotic dinner companion.” The arm is a feeding assistance machine operated by only two buttons, enabling users more freedom to feed themselves independently. Though the cost of the device may be prohibitive for some, the Obi is an innovative piece of technology designed to enhance the lifestyle of people with cerebral palsy.
