As the NCAA prepares for March Madness, so does high school senior Jamal Allen, a guard for his Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High basketball team. Jamal has grown to become one of the top players in the Massachusetts region, despite the limited use of his right arm. Nerve damage Jamal sustained at birth led to his condition called Erb’s Palsy, but it hasn’t stopped him from becoming a leader on and off the court. “He takes advantage of whatever the defense is giving him and manages it to the best of his ability, and I think clearly that’s what he’s also done in life,” neighboring high school coach David First said.
