New Sport RaceRunning Helps People with Disabilities Compete to their Fullest Potential

RaceRunning is a new sport developed by England’s leading disability athletics organization Cerebral Palsy Sport, and has become a revolutionary activity for people with limited mobility. Developed over the past 18 months, each “RaceRunner” is a three-wheeled self-propelled tricycle frame, and athletes can compete in races ranging from 60 to 1,500 meters or use the equipment recreationally. Cerebral Palsy Sport aims to help everyone with disabilities reach their athletic goals—from walking to competing professionally—and the launch of RaceRunning is an exciting new avenue for children, young people and adults. “We hope that the resource will provide much needed guidance to coaches, physiotherapists and parents to help get more people with cerebral palsy into the wonderful adapted sport of RaceRunning,” Cerebral Palsy Sport’s Chief Executive Ali Talbot said.
