U.S. Paralympic National Soccer Team Player with Cerebral Palsy Goes for the Gold

U.S. Paralympic National Soccer Team Player with Cerebral Palsy Goes for the Gold

As athletes prepare for the 2016 Olympics all over the world, members of the U.S. Paralympic National Soccer Team are doing the same at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California. San Diego Midfielder Mason Abbiate was born with cerebral palsy, a condition caused by brain damage that affects movement, posture and muscle coordination, and has overcome several obstacles to earn his spot on the team. The Paralympic Games kick off on September 7, 2016 in Rio, and Abbiate and his teammates couldn’t be happier to represent the U.S.A.
